What I Read Today:
1 Timothy 6; John 11; Hosea 5; Psalm 18; 2 Kings 19; Genesis 21
There’s a saying that I really like. It goes like this, “Don’t cloud the issue with facts.” Sometimes people will not be convinced. It doesn’t matter how much data you show them, or home many statistics you accumulate. They simply won’t accept the facts.
In John 11 we have a shining example of this principle in action.
We witness the miracle of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. This is a stunning event. It should have shaken everyone to their very core. You’d think people would have been dropping to their knees. A man dead for four days walked out of the tomb at the word of Jesus. That’s amazing.
Yet the religious leaders become more determined than ever to kill Jesus.
You see some people will simply not accept the facts. No matter what you do or say, they will find a way to reject you.
All God asks of us is to hold out the Gospel for others and let the Holy Spirit do his work. Then we leave the rest to God and pray.
