What I Read Today:

1 Thessalonians 5; Luke 22; Daniel 4; Psalm 5; 2 Kings 6; Genesis 8

Nebuchadnezzar is one of the most interesting people in the Bible.  He is at once God’s instrument of judgment, a heathen king, and arrogant.  He has people executed, without flinching.  He is cruel and dangerous.

Yet for some reason, God continues to work on bringing Nebuchadnezzar into the kingdom of God.

What does this say about God?

God doesn’t give up on any of us. Even the worst of us. He continues giving us countless opportunities to turn back to him.  God stands ready to shower his grace and mercy on each one of us.  All we have to do is look to our God, and he will do the rest.
