What I Read Today;

Revelation 13-14; Acts 28; Jeremiah 39; Psalm 117; 1 Samuel 13

The last chapter of the book of Acts reinforces the idea that regardless of our circumstances when God calls us, we are to fulfill that calling.

Paul was called to preach the Gospel.  Since his encounter with Jesus, he has done that without fail.  Now we find Paul under house arrest chained to a Roman Soldier.  What does Paul do?  He preaches the Gospel to the Jews in Rome, and then to anyone who comes to see him.  Paul didn’t let his circumstances dictate how he would follow his calling.  Paul adapted to his conditions and kept on preaching.

We find ourselves in unique circumstances, with our churches are shut down.  We’re even restricted from gathering with friends in our homes.

But God hasn’t changed our calling, has he?  God is challenging you and me to figure out how to reach those around us with the Gospel.

Don’t let your circumstances keep you from the ministry God is calling you to.
