What I Read Today;
Revelation 7-8; Acts 25; Jeremiah 36; Psalm 114; 1 Samuel 10
Today we read one of my favorite passages in all of the Bible, Revelation 7 verses 9-17. In most of chapters 7 and 8, we read about death and destruction. In this short section, we see a multitude of people who have washed their robes in the blood of Jesus.
It doesn’t matter what is happening, these people stand before the throne of God worshiping him.
Those of us who love Jesus can stand today, with complete confidence in the promise that no matter what happens on this earth, our God will keep his promise. War, famine, disease, and drought will come on this earth. However, God has a place for us. A place where we will see Jesus face every day. A world where there will be no tears, no pain, and no suffering.
Our government may be dysfunctional and fail. Things may seem chaotic. Despite this, we can take comfort in the fact that our hope is not found in the institutions created by man.
No, our hope is in the creator of the universe, Jesus!
Thank you for the comforting words. And than you for following my blog!
