What I Read Today;
1 Corinthians 8; Mark 7; Ezekiel 36-37; Psalm 142-143; 2 Chronicles 9-10; Numbers 25
Ezekiel 36 and 37 are examples of the incredible love of God. Before Christ comes into someone’s life, he truly is nothing more than dry bones.
However, God works miracles in our lives. He sends the Holy Spirit into our hearts and causes you and me to desire God. Our Lord gives us the will and the ability to follow God. Why does he do this? God does this out of his great love for all of humanity. Instinctively, we know what is required of God. We also know that without God’s help, we can’t achieve the requirements of God.
God’s love is so great that rather than simply destroy us and move on, he takes our lives, which are no better than dried bones, and he inserts his Spirit into them. He then draws us to himself and gives us life both now and in eternity. He pours his loving-kindness into each one of us and blesses us beyond measure.
He doesn’t do it because we deserve it. He does it out of his great love for you and me!
