What I read today;

1 Peter 2-3; Acts 9-10; Jeremiah 30-31; Psalm 61; 2 Samuel 16-17; Leviticus 6

Psalm 61 vs. 1-5, “Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.  From the end of the earth, I call to you, when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I; for you are my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.  Let me abide in your tent forever, find refuge under the shelter of your wings. Selah For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.” NRSV

There are moments when I realize my shortcomings.  When I realize that I can’t handle things happening around me well.  There are moments when there is simply nothing I can do. This week has presented one of those times.

Like the Psalmist, I pray for strength to help those around me to get through this time of trouble.

In the name of the one and only Son of God, Jesus, Amen!
