What I read today;
1 Timothy 4-5; Luke 14; Daniel 12 & Hosea 1; Psalm 148; Job 30; Deuteronomy 1
What do you think about when you read Psalm 148, and it says to Praise the Lord?
Do you think about Church on Sunday? I think that’s what most of us think of when we think of the word worship.
Do you think of worship when you look into the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars? Do you think of praising God when you see the deer on the side of the road or the newborn puppy wagging its tail? Do you consider how blessed you are when you get out of bed in the morning and can walk, speak, read, and work? Do you realize that others around the world would give almost anything to have the blessing of what you get in your paycheck? Do you thank God when an aged loved one leaves the earth for the lifetime of joy you had with that person? Do you sing songs of joy when you see your children who God has blessed you with?
God has given us everything. He showers us with mercy and grace. It’s easy to focus on the negative. We tend to look at those things that cause us pain and ignore those things that God has blessed us with.
Focus on the grace and mercy of God. Intentionally look for the blessings he’s given you. Praise the God of the universe for all his many blessings each and every day!
