What I read today;

Galatians 6 & Ephesians 1; Luke 1; Ezekiel 34-35; Psalm 135; Job 17; Numbers 24

I love this time of year.  With spring you never know what kind of weather you’ll get from day to day.  The new leaves bring a bright green tinge to the entire world.  Flowers begin to spout, and newborn animals and birds are seen everywhere.  The cycle of life begins anew each and every year.  Baseball season begins, and hope for every player reigns supreme.  Children are excited at the end of another school year.  People are planning vacations and seeking out new adventures.  Tax season is over, and the summer is soon to begin.  The bitter cold, snow, and ice are now fading from view.

It’s as if God is telling us that there is still time to start over.  There is still time to come to him and live under his outstretched arms.  The horror of Good Friday has led to the resurrection and now leads us toward Pentecost.

It’s a time for the renewal of our minds and souls.

Ezekiel 34 vs. 30-31, provides us a promise this morning for those who are searching and seeking for a new day;

They shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord GodYou are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture and I am your God, says the Lord God.”
