What I read today;

2 Corinthians 4; Mark 7; Ezekiel 14-15; Psalm 125; Job 1-2; Numbers 14

I feel for Moses in Numbers 14.  If you are a middle manager for any company, you know that often you are in a no-win situation.  The company demands one thing, and the workers demand another.  You can’t win, but you get the brunt of the grumbling and complaining from both sides.  Often you feel left out and alone.

That’s how we find Moses.  Stuck in the middle with a grumbling mob and an irate God.  At that moment he does the only thing he can.  Moses prays.  Sometimes that’s all you’ve got.

Pastors are in those positions too.  They are often alone on an island.  Spend some time in prayer for them this week.  They’ve dedicated their lives to serving God and serving others.  Pray for a period of relief for them so they can continue to proclaim the Gospel.
