What I read today;

1 Corinthians 14; Mark 1; Ezekiel 2-3; Psalm 119; Nehemiah 11-12; Numbers 8

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible.  It is also a picture of how we should pursue God in this life.  Throughout the 176 verses of this Psalm, we hear that we are to pursue God with our whole being, heart, and mind.  Psalm 176 reminds us that God’s word is a gift that we should never take for granted.  It tells us to continually praise God for all his many blessings.

The Psalmist warns those who turn away from God that eventually, they will have to face him.  Over and over it pleads with stubborn men and women to turn back to God and seek his face.

For those who are seeking God, it reminds us that we are all lost sinners in need of a savior and shows us that God is faithful and keeps his promises.

  1. Your reflections on Psalm 119 are appreciated. While the length is significant, there is much to learn from it. From Verse 172: “My tongue will sing of your promise, for all of your commandments are right.”
