What I read today;
1 Corinthians 13; Matthew 28; Lamentations 5 & Ezekiel 1; Psalm 118; Nehemiah 9-10; Numbers 7
The last three verses of Matthew spell out Jesus marching orders for his disciples and his church.
Verse 18 tells us that Jesus now has all authority on heaven and earth. The devil has been defeated. Sin no longer has its bight. Jesus is now the merciful judge.
In Verse 19 Jesus instructs us to take the Gospel to the world. He wants us to spread the good news that people now have hope and salvation in the name of Jesus Christ! The time is now to look to the cross and believe in Jesus work!
Finally, in Verse 20, he tells his disciples to teach Jesus message to all and to spread the word that Jesus is with us even now. All the way to the end of time. We can live each day knowing that Jesus is near. He is standing by us helping us through.
