What I read today;
1 Corinthians 12; Matthew 27; Lamentations 3-4; Psalm 117; Nehemiah 7-8; Numbers 6
Each day presents challenges for most of us. Sometimes life seems like a real slog. We fight and scratch. We feel the weight of our guilt and shame over the mistakes we’ve made. We wonder if God can forgive us. We struggle to forgive ourselves.
Yet each day Jesus is standing next to us when we get out of bed. He’s walking with us each and every day. He’s there pulling us through to the next challenge.
That’s why Jeremiah can say in Lamentations 3 vs. 22-24:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”” NRSV
