What I read today;

Exodus 26; 2 Kings 13-14; Psalm 70; Jeremiah 4; Acts 8; James 2-3

It’s easy to feel inadequate.  To feel your confidence ebbing away.  Each week we struggle to get to Friday.  Each pay period we hope to have enough to get through to the next payday.  Bills pile up, notes come home from school.  Every time you turn around someone asks for, “just a little more.”

For that person today here are the words of Psalm 70;

“Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Lord, make haste to help me!  Let them be put to shame and confusion who seek my life!  Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt!  Let them turn back because of their shame who say, “Aha, Aha!” May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!” But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God!  You are my help and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay!”  ESV
