What I read today;
Genesis 41; 1 Samuel 20-21; Psalm 35; Isaiah 35; Luke 18; 2 Corinthians 3
Joseph had really gone through hell in the years leading up to this day. His brothers threw him in a pit and sold him into slavery. Then he was falsely accused of attempted rape. After that, he was stuck in prison waiting on the king’s prisoners. Then after being promised help, he was forgotten once again.
I wonder what Joseph thought as he stood there in front of Pharoah. I wonder if he dared hoped for his freedom. Maybe, he just hoped to be allowed to leave the prison he was living in, and live in better accommodations.
Then out of nowhere, he’s being cheered by the people. I bet his head was spinning.
Everything that had happened to him was preparing him for just this moment in time. You see, God had a plan.
God also has a plan for each one of us. He’s preparing us for some mission in this life. We may not understand everything that is happening but, like Joseph, we can trust that in the end, it will lead us to see his face in Heaven.
When we’re tempted to give up, we should look at the example of Joseph and how God used all those life experiences to raise Joseph up to save his people.
We should remember that God is using our life experiences for a purpose. Even when we aren’t sure why he’s doing it.
