What I read today

Esther 10; Ecclesiastes 7; Zechariah 12; Revelation 17

Christmas Morning is a time of excitement.  Kids running to the tree, families getting together, food being prepared, phone calls to those we can’t be near.  So much happens on this morning.

More importantly, It’s a day of excitement because of the birth of our savior.  It’s the day that our redemption begins.  It’s the day that God stepped out of heaven and reached out to save a lost and dying humanity.

In Zechariah, we hear about, “The one they have pierced,” while in Revelation we hear about God’s plans at the end of the age.

Everything points to the coming of the Savior.

Today we wait for his return.  We know it’s coming.  Until then we know that God has fulfilled every promise he’s ever made.  So we rest comfortably knowing that he’s coming to gather us together and take us to a place where there will be no more sickness, death, pain or hurt.
