What I read today
Ezra 9; Job 25; Micah 5; Acts 9; 1 John 1
Micah 5 was written while the threat of invasion seemed imminent. The nation was fading. It was falling apart. All hope seemed lost.
In the midst of the gloom and doom, a small light shined from Micah. The promise of a savior. The promise of the one who would restore the kingdom of God. The story of the one who would feed the masses. The promise of the savior from sin and death.
Some 700 years before Jesus birth, God had a plan. Micah offered a glimpse of that plan to all who would listen.
