What I read today
2 Chronicles 22; Ecclesiastes 11; Hosea 10; John 7; 2 Thessalonians 1
Ecclesiastes 11 vs. 7-10 tell us that we should rejoice in all the days of our life.
When we are young, we should rejoice in our vigor and enjoy our youthful bodies. We should live a life with a smile on our face as we face our new life and take on that life with everything we have.
When we are old, we should be able to look back on a life that was lived to the fullest. A life that gave us new worlds to see, new relationships, and adventures to fill up a lifetime of memories.
Ecclesiastes acknowledges that there will be days of darkness. But we should always focus on the joy of living each day of our life.
Christians, especially, should look on each day of there lives as an opportunity to spread the grace of God to a world that desperately needs it. When the world is falling apart around us, we should be able to lift our eyes heavenward and look to the paradise that awaits and see the face of Jesus each and every day of our life.
