What I read today
2 Samuel 15-16; Psalm 140; Ezekiel 17; Matthew 23; 1 Corinthians 2
Sometimes Christians get wrapped up in the minutia. We argue about points of interest that really don’t matter. We get into endless doctrinal arguments that in the end don’t make a difference.
Contrast that with Paul. Paul wrote the majority of the new testament epistles. He traveled across the Roman empire and preached to thousands of people. In 2 Corinthians 2 vs. 2, he breaks it down to what really matters.
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”
I guess it all comes down to a man dying on the cross to save the world!
