What I read today
2 Samuel 13-14; Psalm 139; Ezekiel 16; Matthew22; 1 Corinthians 1
We have a God who is all knowing. He’s the creator of everything. Nothing happens without his knowing about it.
But we also have a God who knows us personally.
Psalm 139 says that God has searched us. He knows every thought. God knows what we are going to say before we say it. There’s nowhere we can hide from God. No cave so deep, no place too far, literally nowhere we can hide.
Yet God cared so much about us that he literally made us in our mother’s womb. He wrote down the days of our lives. He knows how many days we’ll have on this earth and already knows what we will do with those days.
And in spite of all the things that we’ll do wrong, in spite of all our mistakes and missteps, nothing can separate us from the Love of God. He already knows that we are filled with evil thoughts. He knows that we will fail. God knows that we will struggle. But in spite of it all, he continues to watch over us and guide us through this life until we safely return home to him.
