What I read today

2 Samuel 11-12; Psalm 138; Ezekiel 15; Matthew 21; Romans 16

Seems like lately, we’ve been fighting each other in the church.  Paul was living through a time where the Gospel was being challenged.  People were adding to what Jesus taught.  They were saying that in order to be saved you had to be circumcised and follow all the Jewish customs.  Paul fought against this his entire life.

In Romans, Paul says we should avoid those who fail to teach the Gospel properly.  Where do we learn about the Gospel?  How do we learn how to live?

Psalm 138 gives us the answer. Psalm 138 sums it up when it says that God exalted himself and his word.

It’s why we need to read and study the word of God.  If we don’t we risk losing everything.
