What I read today

Deuteronomy 29-30; Psalm 91; Jeremiah 25; Acts 2; Hebrews 4

As I get older, I look back and see so many times when I wasn’t what God wanted me to be.  Those times when I let people down.  Moments when I failed to live out my faith.  Situations when I was unable to follow God’s word.  Times in my life when I drifted away and didn’t live out my faith. The times I’ve failed my family.  The times I wasn’t the person I should have been.  The things I’ve done that I wish I could undo and the things I didn’t do that I would go back and do right now if I had the chance.

This sins I’ve committed weigh on my shoulders like a ton of bricks.

I would imagine that all of us have those things we wish we could change in our pasts.

But the promise of God in Deuteronomy 30 vs. 4-6 gives me hope.

No matter how far away God will bring you back.  He will remove the oppression of sin and doubt and keep us safe in his grace and mercy.
