What I read today

Deuteronomy 17-18; Psalm 85; Jeremiah 19; John 17; Titus 2

It’s weird some days.

I read and can’t find something to write about.

Then I realize that there’s a theme but It isn’t where I thought it would be.

In Deuteronomy 17 vs 18-20 Moses tells the people that it’s extremely important that their leaders are reading and meditating on the word of God all the days of there lives.  Not only reading it but applying it to their lives and remaining humble every day of their lives.

Psalm 85 verses 8-9 the Psalmist begs God to let him hear what God is saying.  He’s asking that the faithful seek out hearing what God’s message is to give the faithful people peace and salvation.  He’s telling us to remain faithful to his word.

Jeremiah 19 shows us what can happen when the faithful fail to hear and listen to God’s word.

John 17 verse 17 Jesus asks the father to sanctify us through his Word.

Titus 2 Paul tells us to live according to the Word.  Allow the Word to rule our day to day lives out of love for Jesus and his grace.

Pretty amazing that four random passages from four different times can all say basically the same thing.

Remain in the Word of God!
