What I read today
Exodus 39-40; Psalm 45; Isaiah 45; Luke 1; 2 Corinthians 13
In Isaiah 45 we see some facts about our God.
In verse 2 and 3 he tells us that he goes before us and levels our paths. God sees everything that’s going to happen to us, and he prepares us and watches over us while we are going through our struggles. God promises to bring us through to our heavenly home where we will receive treasure we can’t comprehend.
In verse 4 he says that he calls us by name. He’s not some impersonal being out in the abyss of time and space. He knows each and every one of us. He knows each one of us, and God is aware of our sins, our failings, our personality traits he knows every single one of them. Yet God still calls us by name to a relationship with him.
In verses, 5-20 God reminds us that he created everything. Light and darkness, sun and moon, he created everything. He is the creator who we should put our faith and trust in. We should put away all those things that get in the way of our relationship with him and center our lives on Jesus Christ. There is no other god that we can have a personal relationship with.
Finally, in verses 21-25 the creator of the universe wants each and every one of us to turn to him for salvation. God wants us to humble ourselves and come to him. God stands ready to hand out his grace and mercy right now.
He’s ready. Now, what are you going to do?
