What I read today

Exodus 37-38; Psalm 44; Isaiah 44; Mark 16; 2 Corinthians 12

I sometimes wonder if God can use someone like me.  I don’t always play well with others.  I’ve got a temper.  I have to use computer programs to check my spelling and my grammar.  I don’t always follow through on things I need to complete.

Simply put, I’m not the best example of what a Christian should be.

Oh, I try to be better but more often than not I discover that I’m just not capable of being better.

Then I read 2 Corinthians 12 vs. 9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.”

That’s when I remember that it’s not about me.  It’s not about me being a better person or whether I can overcome all my sins.  It’s about what Jesus did for me.  I’ll keep trying to be better.  But I’ll always remember that Jesus was perfect.  Therefore, because of what he did I get to spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus!
