What I read today
Genesis 23-24; Psalm 12; Isaiah 12; Matthew 12; Romans 12
Romans 12 verses 1 and 2 say the following
I appeal to you, therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Today how will you live out this verse? Will you be kind? Will you be compassionate? Will you put yourself third in life (God first, others second, yourself third)? Will you offer yourself in service to God?
Today how will you not be conformed to the world? How will you be transformed by the renewing of your mind? Will you read your bible? Will you pray for others? Will you spend time reading things that will direct your thoughts to God?
This is our whole duty summed up in two verses. Not because we want to earn our way to heaven. Not because we want to build a kingdom for God. But out of thanks for what Jesus did for each one of us on the cross.
How will you live out this verse today?
