What I read this morning
Genesis 11-12; Psalm 6; Isaiah 6; Matthew 6; Romans 6
It’s what we spend most of our lives doing.
As children we worry about our grades, we worry about the neighborhood bully, we worry about pleasing our parents.
As teenagers we worry about our appearance, we worry about our futures, we worry about our grades, we worry about getting into college, we worry about dating.
Once we’re out in the world we worry about our jobs, our marriages, our children, paying the bills.
As we get older we worry about our health, our retirement our parents.
Our lives are full of worry and doubt. It never seems to end. So when Jesus says don’t worry I personally think it’s the most difficult thing he says to grasp.
But Jesus is telling us to focus on him. He’s telling us he’ll take care of us. He’s telling us that he knows how our lives are laid out and he will watch over us. We can rest easy in the fact that we are in the hands of a loving Savior!
